Ok, fine, here’s the full bio:
Ashley Ray-Harris (stage name: Ashley Ray) is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actor, tv writer and pop culture critic. She was born in Dallas and is a proud 5th generation Texan, but she grew up in Rockford, IL and is very proud of that too. She started doing comedy in Chicago, IL. She moved to LA in 2019.
Ray studied at Williams College and she’s the creator of the Badass Black Women's History Month Project. She worked at The Onion and performed with Clickhole Live from 2016-2018. In 2020, she co-edited Maria Bamford's audiobook, You Are (A Comedy) Special.
Her work explores the intersection between culture and the intimacies of race, gender, queerness, and sexuality. Ray's unique brand of off-puttingly black Black comedy has been covered in The Chicago Tribune, Vulture, and VoyageLA. She is also very good at Twitter and you might know her from that. In 2017, she was even voted the 2nd best Chicagoan to follow on Twitter by The Chicago Reader.
